The circle in my driveway has several different varieties of salvia greggii, Mexican mint marigold, Russian sage, gray santolina and a dwarf miscanthus sinesis (This bed is covered in Bluebonnets and other wildflowers in the spring.)  
Yaupon holly in background, pink fairy rose, ‘Henry Duelberg’ salvia (a native and will reseed in your garden), wisteria ‘Evergreen’ on trellis, dwarf miscanthus sinesis ‘Adagio’; ‘Autumn Joy’ sedum in foreground.
