Blue fortune agastache was planted and bloomed in 2008. This picture is in July 2008. The agastache seems to be relatively drought tolerant but does get some irrigation twice a week.  
Datura seeded from last year's (2007) plant. This picture is in July 2008. The datura seems to be relatively drought tolerant but does get some irrigation twice a week.  
Garden phlox have been in this Master Gardener's landscape for eight years. This picture is in July 2008. Of these four perennials (blue fortune agastache, datura, garden phlox, Russian sage), the garden phlox requires more irrigation.  
Russian sage was planted in this Master Gardener's landscape about three years ago (2005). This picture is in July 2008. The Russian sage does not get any supplemental watering, just rainfall.
